Crashing thoughts..
Turbulent storms whirling through my mind..
My heart is pounding
Not from exertion
But fear
Dare I hope?
Dare I think?

Churning thoughts..
The dark endless labyrinth..
Chaos having a field day..
Heart's speeding
Like a stallion gone wild..
I can't bear it..
End this already..
Put me out of my misery..
Stop the torture..

Then the pin dropped..

My heart stopped..
Thoughts frozen..
Nothing to be heard or seen..
Devoid of emotions..
Emptied of feelings..
I've become Numb.
